About Gabriela

I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a woman continually becoming.

Motherhood has been my greatest teacher. Birth has taught me about surrender. Womanhood has taught me that becoming rarely happens in a straight line. And faith has taught me to trust that even in the seasons I cannot yet understand, I am never walking alone. My work has grown from these lessons.

I am a doula and educator, but my work has never felt limited to birth. I am interested in the spaces where women are becoming someone new: becoming mothers, learning their bodies, preparing for birth, finding themselves again in postpartum, raising sons and daughters, and moving through the quiet thresholds that mark our lives.

I believe women deserve more than information. We deserve wisdom, preparation, community, and care. So I create spaces where women can ask questions without shame, learn without fear, and feel supported without being told who they are supposed to be.

My approach is grounded in physiologic birth, informed decision-making, integrative care, lived experience, and a deep reverence for the wisdom carried by women before us. My faith quietly shapes the way I see this work: with humility, service, tenderness, and trust in the sacredness woven through ordinary life.

At home, my life is wonderfully full. I live north of Austin in Liberty Hill with my husband, Jonathan, our seven children, two dogs, and our bearded dragon. It is loud, imperfect, chaotic, and very often beautiful. My family continues to teach me that some of the most meaningful work in life happens in the ordinary moments: around the kitchen table, in the car, at bedtime, and in the middle of a mess that wasn't on the schedule.

And that’s why I don't believe we need to have it all figured out before we begin; we simply need a place to begin. Nido is that place for me. A hive. A place to gather. A place to rest, learn, prepare, and grow.

If you have found your way here, I hope it can become a little bit of that for you, too.

So pull up a chair; you’re oh so welcome here.

My Vision

To cultivate a world where women are deeply informed, gently supported, and confident in the wisdom of their own becoming.

My Mission

Nido exists to educate, nurture, and walk alongside women and families through birth, postpartum, motherhood, and the many seasons of becoming.
